We are still accepting applications for the doctoral program through the winter entrance exam. The entrance examination for the doctoral program is basically just an oral exam, and there is little (basically no) need to take any classes after admission, so we accept even those with backgrounds other than engineering or mechanical systems. We are planning to accept a few research students who will enroll in April or October next year (2024). We welcome students who wish to enter the master's program or doctoral program after enrolling as research students.

Although this laboratory is part of the Department of Mechanical Systems Engineering, most of our research targets are humans, not machines. There are challenges that are different from dealing with machines, and there is also fun. Additionally, our laboratory conducts many joint research projects with companies and other universities. In many cases, you will be involved in your graduation research with such companies and other universities, and you will get a real sense of how connected the university is to society.
